Insight into the faculty for physics and astronomy
The faculty for physics and astronomy would like to give an insight into teachings and research for interested visitors. Therefore the following is offered to the visitors:

Particle accelerator guidance
Participate in a guidance to the particle accelerator in the Dynamitron tandem laboratory. Experience the world of physics, how you know them only from magazines or hearsay.

Guidance by the chair for applied solid-state physics.
Inform about the basic research, which serves as a basis for the development of new semiconductor components, which is in turn the basis for the development of the computers of the future. See, how modern procedures are used within research like the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and focused ion beams (FIB).

The visitit to the »clean-room« within the guidance »applied solit-state physics » limits the number of participants to t10 persons per guidance. The guidance »particale accalerator« should not exceed 20 per guidance.On the day of your visit please sign in at the Registration point. Persons who registered per email hare selected first. Food supply
The academic promotion factory will take care for the small lunch for you. In addition on Friday and on Monday the Cafeterien and refectories of the Ruhr University Bochum are available for you. Experience the athmosphaere, in which the future scientific elite uses to dine.

Botani objects of interest
Our gardens allow you to forget the stress of the fair for a few minutes and to have a break. Recover in our botanic and our chinese garden and enjoy the special athmosphaere of our tropical house.

Exhibitors diner
For the exhibitors a diner is planned in Beckmann's yard. This is an old farm converted to a restaurant/society house, which is managed by the university. It lies very idyllic in a valley behind the botanic garden.

Warpstock Party
On Saturday Night everybody is invited to take part at our Warpstock Party. On the search for a suitable background music for the Saturday evening we discovered the band December Dawn.
